Barbara Prize of GDMB
The Barbara Prize is awarded annually for outstanding achievements by young technical and scientific talent in the field of mining.
From 2025, it will be presented at the meeting of the GDMB Geothermal Energy Committee. The prize is endowed with
EUR 3,000. The winners must not be older than 35.

GDMB Promotional Prize
This award recognizes outstanding work by students, young engineers or scientists who make a special contribution to future development in the field of metallurgy.
The award winners must not be older than 35 years. The award itself is worth EUR 3,000 and will be presented from 2025 onwards as part of the EMC – European Metallurgical Conference.

Prize of the Stifterverband Metalle
This prize is awarded on behalf of the Stiftervereinigung Metalle. It recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of metallurgy.
This prize is also endowed with EUR 3,000 and is aimed at young scientific and technical talent up to and including the age of 35.
In 2025 it will be awarded as part of the EMC – European Metallurgical Conference.
