As a researcher, you’ll work with advanced modelling tools – ranging from thermodynamic models to flowsheet simulations – to develop deep insights into complex industrial processes. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues providing experimental data, characterization results, and CFD simulations, helping to interpret findings and translate them into meaningful models and actionable insights. Responsibilities: As a key contributor to our long-term R&D initiatives, you will: Lead and manage ongoing research projects, from concept to execution. Develop and write proposals for new R&D projects, both internally and in collaboration with industrial and academic partners across Europe. Support the development of metallurgical processes through your technical insights. Drive the implementation of digital twin technologies, making our models accessible and impactful for multiple users. Take an active role in research, including quality and efficiency assessments, model/code development, and the continuous improvement of our methodologies. Your Profile: You’re a team player who knows how to organize your work efficiently and independently. You’re driven by curiosity, with a passion for digging deep and finding answers, whether for a research question or a client’s challenge. You’re not afraid to go the extra mile and are enthusiastic about sharing your work and learning new technical skills. You bring: A strong academic background in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics (Master’s degree required). Experience in a technical role within an R&D-driven environment. Relevant industry or research experience is considered an asset. A keen interest in materials science, metallurgical or chemical process engineering, and modelling techniques. Familiarity with tools like FactSage, METSIM®, Ansys Fluent, or similar software is a plus, but not mandatory. You are fluent in English. - Supplier management
- Supplier and market development
- Planning and implementation of closed-loop projects
Your Profile: - Solid commercial education (University of Applied Sciences, University, Business Academy, or equivalent)
- Several years of purchasing experience required
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Leadership experience is an advantage
- Team-oriented with strong analytical abilities
- Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); a second foreign language is an asset
- Excellent command of German
Salary: The minimum gross salary for this full-time position is EUR 3,500.00. Depending on qualifications and experience, appropriate adjustments will be made, along with attractive social benefits.
